Shorts in Winter 2027

Please introduce yourself in your message. Be sure to include your prior engagement with our theatre (shows you have done with us, shows you have seen).

Your play proposal and resume should be attached as a PDF. Include the title, playwright, synopsis, themes, cast breakdown, set requirements, and other relevant information. We cast adult actors and perform for an adult audience. Please review our production history to be sure your proposal aligns with our mission and history. You may propose up to 3 plays. No play longer than 45 minutes. If you have a PDF of the script, you can attach that as well. Simply click "Attach" again to add another file.

Proposals are due by August 10, 2026.

Production dates are February 26-28, 2027

For the 2027 edition of “Shorts in Winter,” we are willing to consider proposals of new or otherwise unpublished work given the following:

1) no royalties will be paid to the writer

2) the director submits the proposal not the playwright

3) the director may not direct their own work

4) the director must include a signed letter from the playwright granting permission to perform the play with the stipulation that no royalties will be paid

5) the full script must be provided with the submission

6) all other requirements for a proposal must be met
